I really feel in a pinch. I have a national conveyor dryer and press. I realize the company is no longer in business but the equipment is the best ever made. I can't imagine it being that difficult to repair if necessary. Why are replacement parts so vital to buying a national piece of used equipment. What don't I know? Did they manufacture a piece of equipment with unique, non-universal parts or what? Does anyone know what's so scary - please share your insight.

It is probably just a psychological saftey barrier. To me it just seems scarier to buy something where I have no recourse if there is a defect or if I cannot find someone to work on it...and the longer I have it , the more technology in the business may change and the even Less likely I would be able to find someone to work on it. Much much easier to deal with a machine where the company behind it is still alive and active... I have more ability to resolve issues and resell the piece if later I need to. So to me the question is not that the equipment is used, but that the company behind it is no longer around...Just my thought on the question.
