I want to purchase a printer/plotter for making decals.
This is my 8th year in business and I have used the same person to do all my printing for years but would like to start doing it myself. I am a grafhic designer.
I have looked at the Roland Versacamm 30" model but have also looked at a few other printers and they all have pros and cons to them.
The decals I print will all be used outside.
I looked at a Gerber Edge machine but would rather stick with either a Roland, Mutoh or a Mimaki printer.
I really do not need to purchase anything larger then a 30" machine unless I was just thinking about resale of the printer some day.
I see that many sign shops start out with a small printer and upgrade to a larger unit and I was thinking about trying to find a used printer that is maybe a year or two old.
Which printer would you purchase and why?

Call David Lynn at Beacon Graphics - 800-762-9205. He is very helpful and knows his stuff. I Recently missed out on a Graphtec on ebay that sells for $4000.00 and went for $1035. It broker my heart. There are deals out there but your time frame is your issue. David can help. He spent an hour on the phone with the first time I called. Tell him Tony (TCon) in Ohio sent you. Good Luck!

I Own Roland, Graphtec, Mimaki and Mutoh equipment. Roland is OK until they decide that it's time for you to buy new equipment and stop servicing their old stuff. I have been very happy with my Mutoh 1604 machine and the service from Feller's!
