Would anyone be willing to send me an "O" that has the stitches starting on the side.
It needs to me a block type "O" I have been using the "AACHEN CP-DAK" font on Dakota Alphasizer.

I need it ASAP and would be willing to pay.

PLEASE HELP!!

Dakota sizer doesn't have edit function.

My opinion is check the thread tension. (Both)

If tension is too tight , My machine happens like that.

I hope it help

hi, can be several things and varios at the same time
1- the hat can be so enforced (thick) you can use a hammer to hit the hat a few times to soften the hat.

2-the plate hole can be so thin ( replace it or make it bigger with a special sandpaper like a cord)

3-the hook is to near to the neddle, just put it a little far( but u get to know what are u doing)

and if u all ready broke up to many needles its to probably that your hook its a little damage , u get to take off the edge with a sandpaper cause you are going to cut the thread so often and you`ll never going to finish a work

Evilcaps: this *** doesn´t have a needle deflection problem, listen what he´s trying to say, just in the center of the cap is the problem, why just in the center? because the cap is to gross, thats all, so, what do you do when you sew this kind of fabrics? just replace needles, doesn´t have anything to do with how a stitch is made, I´ve been sewing for more than 20 years, I have seen all kind of problems, and believe me, you have to start for the simplest solution, not the hardest, adjusting the hook is a matter of knowing and time, RegardsĦĦĦ

To replace the needles: in the upper part of the needle bar, the one that holds the needle, theres a screw, just turn it to the left a little bit, remove the needle by pulling down and insert the new needle and turn right the screw, thats it.

if you use the machine flat(border frame),you have the same problem?
for hook timing adj. are some videos at www.hirschintl.com
look if the needle is in the middle of needle plate hole-push down with hand the needle bar and rotate with hand the shaft.
take off the needle plate and see if the movable knife is open or in normal position(under the fixed knife)

I would also check the alignment of the needle to the needle plate, if the needle is being deflected a bit by the hat into the needle plate the hook will break the needle also.

You should not have to go to a 90 needle, but for ease and durability an 80/12 teflon coated will go a long way to make caps more enjoyable!

fedecorona1:
I'm also been in this business for about 15 years or so, and I only do caps all day long, I had this same problem when i got a used tajima, it needed some adjustments, flat worked nice but on the caps I had the same problem like this guy, say normal needle deflection was the problem even I tried to use a 80/12 needles and did not work. The guy has a normal needle deflection, need more needle -hook gap that will work.

Agree withe 80 size needle!

Done deal the guy has lots on info by now.
Hope the guy can finish his order on time. Good Luck!
