Default Why are used single heads 80% of the cost of a multi ?

I've been looking at all brands of used single head embroidery machines, and it seems like for $7,500 you can get a good quality single head, but for $9,500 you can get a 4 head. That seems like a lot more machine for just $2,000 more. Why are single head machines so close it price to their multi head counterparts?

Because more people start out with a single heads, and they are easier to take to shows.
cant take a 4 head to a show. Too Heavy. When you are first starting out in the embroidery business to get customers you have to use your machine as a customer magnet.

Thats not quite the reason like all things its money. Its cost you only need 1 motor 1 operating system 1 drive , shafts control panel etc..when building a multi head machine you only add an additional 30% or so in parts depending on the size of course. Thanks, Eric

And, adding to that, I've learned the issues about the "comes with" parts of embroidery machines.
Such as the table the machine is mounted on. I've seen this with DTG offers too.

They price the solid steel table, which admittedly is a nice table, for $500. They're paying around $250 or so for them,,,,,,

I'm sure they're special made for their machine or their specs, but, it's a little overpriced in my opinion.

Just one of my pet peeves.
