Workhorse Freedom 6 color w/ compressor and Flashback

I have a 2008 Workhorse Freedom with 1 Flashback and 7.5HP Speedaire compressor and chiller. I'm the second owner. Everything works and has been lightly used by the previous owner and myself. I can’t speak for this press specifically but we had a freedom for 2 years. It was our first auto. Some people talk crap on the freedom because it doesn’t have the capabilities of a $50k auto. Yes, but it was the single best purchase we made to help grow our business. It allowed us to take on more work and offer better pricing. It was paid off in the first few months. We just sold our freedom and upgraded to a 8/10 Sportsman. Never would I have dreamt that two years ago I would have a brand new $60k press. If you are looking to go auto and scared to make a huge first investment, the freedom is a great purchase.

Thanks for sharing. I was in the same boat when I bought this press. Definitely took a single person shop like mine to the next level. Easily paid for itself after the first couple of months and helped me gain the confidence to purchase a brand new press.

Call it proof of concept. Sometimes it best for some to buy used and make sure it is a feasible production model.

Agreed. At the time, I really wasn't sure if going with an automatic was right for my shop, but going used for my first one was one of the better choices I made. Didn't break the bank and discovered new possibilities.
