Default Is it worth joining ASI, PPAI, SAGE and other groups?

I'm an member of NNEP (National Network of Embroidery Professionals), and am proud of that fact. They have great benefits for the small time business owner like us. They're tailored to the small timer.

But, we're looking at joining the ASI, and maybe one of the other groups. We met with the counselor at a trade show, but, was wondering if anyone out there is a member, and would you be willing to share your opinions and advice about it, and if you think it's worthwhile.

All info appreciated.

NNEP is a terrific organization and EnMart is a supplier member. We've looked at ASI as well, but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet, nor on PPAI, although we've considered that as well. Both of those groups are more advertising specialty and promotional product oriented, so it kind of depends on what you sell. If you do embroidery, ASI might be a more rational choice than PPAI, since Stitches Magazine is part of the ASI group, and they do have some experience with embroidery.
