Default Would a epson Stylus Color 600 be good?

I have the oppertunity to get a epson Stylus Color 600 for $30 or a EPSON CX 6000 ALL-In-One brand new for $80 Should i get it?

it will be my first printer for making negatives

I've heard of people using smaller format printers to do their artwork on...the draw-back is that you will have to cut and piece big prints. You will also need a "Rip" program to get half-tones out of a ink jet. Also special films and inks.
