Default ZSK Advice

Hi,
Does anybody know anything about machines from ZSK? I have seen this one and am impressed. ZSK is a company that makes big industrial machines for embroidery. This one , the Sprint is thier entry level model. http://www.zsk.de/edocs/produkte/sprint.asp
Any comments or experience anybody????

Thanks Earl..

At the moment it is 13,000€. About 19,000USD. The exchange rate is rubbish right now so it might come down when GW Bush goes. The machine is "Made in Germany" so its in Euro's. Very good quality. Just like thier cars... (Have you seen the new Smart car)?
In January they have a new model out with 12 needles.

I havent seen anything but good stuff for ZSK. I dont know anyone personally running it in the states because its so much higher than the others but I have read good things about it.

and yes, i was behind a "smart car" this morning. almost hit it because it was so small. :-)

I used to run a 20 head ZSK.. wow, what a machine... but very expensive at the time and trying to find technical or mechanical support, well... not so easy here in San Antonio. Great machine in my opinion, but I would opt for a Tajima or Swf simply for local assistance when I have a problem.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the advice.
I said before that the price is 19,000 USD. I am about to buy my first machine and I looked at 5 machines before I made up my mind. Your posts indicated that the ZSK was expensive. Over here in Europe all the machines came to within 1500USD of each other. All the machines where very good quality and with very good backup and training. The Toyota ESP9000 and Tajima Neo where the same price. (lowest) Next came the Barudan 1501CB and the ZSK Sprint. The highest price of all was the Amaya XT. (The machine was the lowest price but you have to buy the OS or it will not run, so now the price is the highest).
These are just the machine prices. When you add the punching software on it comes to a lot more.
I like the ZSK very much. A very solid machine. Made in Germany. No plastic body parts but in the end I have gone for the Barudan. Everybody speaks very highly of them and they offer more guarantee and extras than the others. The biggest plus is that the regional office is 20 mins from my house.
Talking of Made in Germany.. The Smart Car. You have to be brave to drive one on the Autobahn. We can drive here as fast as we like, no speed limits on the Autobahns. I was doing near 100mph , cars passing me all the time , Mercs, Audis, then along comes a Smart. 100mph + no probs.
I even used one as my "Limo" for my wedding. Ok had to drive it myself but who cares... Fun..

Thanks for the input/advice and Im sure to be asking many more questions when I get my machine in January.

The Baurandan should serve you well. Consistently ranks in the top on the customer service surveys I've seen.

oh, i couldnt imagine going 100+ mph in a smartcar. hech, i was afraid for the guy i saw driving one here in Atlanta at 65+. LoL
