Position Overview
The Embroidery Supervisor is responsible for leading the embroidery production team to achieve efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery goals. This role oversees daily workflow, trains and mentors staff, maintains embroidery equipment, and ensures all finished garments meet company quality standards. The Embroidery Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining productivity, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement within the department.

Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight
• Organize, assign, and monitor daily embroidery production to meet customer deadlines and volume requirements
• Coordinate job scheduling and prioritize workflow based on production needs
• Track productivity and implement improvements to increase efficiency
Team Leadership
• Supervise, train, and mentor embroidery operators
• Enforce safety procedures and high-performance standards
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing skill development
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Quality Control
• Inspect work in process and finished goods to ensure embroidery quality standards are met
• Troubleshoot stitching issues, thread breaks, design misalignment, and machine errors
• Ensure proper hooping, thread selection, and garment handling techniques
Equipment & Technical Management
• Operate and maintain multi-head embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima)
• Perform routine maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting
• Work with digitized files and ensure proper formatting for production
• Collaborate with digitizing/design teams to resolve artwork or stitch file issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
• Previous experience as an embroidery operator required
• 1–3+ years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
Technical Knowledge
• Proficiency with multi-head embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima)
• Experience with Pulse digitizing software
• Strong understanding of stitch types, tension settings, and garment fabrics
Leadership Skills
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced production environment
Software Proficiency
• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience working with design files (PDD and related embroidery file formats)
Language Skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Education
• High school diploma required
• Technical training or additional education in textile production or related field preferred
