Maintenance Mechanic
Job Summary
Constructs and installs fixtures, repairs and adjusts production equipment, and assures optimum equipment operation with guidance from Maintenance Technician. Performs routine preventative maintenance and maintains equipment log book and spare parts inventory by performing the following duties personally. Utilizes the assistance of the Maintenance Helper for repair and maintenance of equipment, fixtures, and facility systems throughout the plant including the exterior and interior presentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for preventive maintenance, overhaul, and repair of production machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Observes machinery or mechanical equipment in operation and locates causes of trouble.
• Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts on machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Operates equipment and machinery to test their performance.
• Submits purchase order requests for parts, materials, and equipment.
• Completes daily maintenance records.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment
• Performs minor building maintenance repairs..
• Some tasks may require work at other company facilities
• All tasks are performed in a safe manner, using PPE when required
Requirements
• 2 years experience with M&R screen printing equipment
• 2 years experience with electrical circuit troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of compressed air systems
