We purchased this machine NEW around 2017–2018 for our T-shirt printing business.
Unlike many wide-format printers, this machine was NEVER used for continuous heavy production of large banners, signs, vehicle graphics, etc. We primarily used it for printing relatively small T-shirt-size designs for polyester shirt applications, so it saw VERY LIGHT and SPORADIC USE compared with a typical sign-shop printer.
CONDITION:
The printheads were replaced in OCTOBER 2024.
The printer has NOT been turned on or operated since JAN 2025. Because it has been sitting for over a year, the printheads/ink system will probably need cleaning before being put back into operation.
Selling AS-IS in its current condition and priced accordingly.
Unfortunately, I don't have time to teach anyone how to use it... please don't ask. So, hopefully a current sign shop with experience running these machines will recognize the value of this printer and buy it.
WHY I'M SELLING IT:
We primarily operate a T-shirt shop, and this machine is taking up space that I need for another machine that is on the way.
I am also starting another business, a rose plant farm, and need a smaller printer for producing UV-resistant plant/pot labels. The SG-540 is capable of doing this type of work, so if it DOES NOT SELL, I will simply move it to my warehouse, service it and use it to print my plant labels.
I would prefer to sell this larger machine and purchase a smaller desktop-size printer for that purpose, but I can still put the Roland to good use if it doesn't sell.
