PRESS OPERATOR - Should be well versed in the operation of Screen Printing machine and skilled in the process of printing, including but not limited to:
- Screen preparation
- Machine set-up of jobs to run
- Knowledge of parameters of selecting the best print order when printing multi-color, including placement on press for optimum run ability.
- Selection of proper tools
- Squeegee selection
- Adjust registration
- Knowledge of pressure, angle and speed settings of the press head.
- Have knowledge of ink selection and modification of inks when necessary
- Must understand the process of printing.
- Flashing colors where needed.
- Must be able to have a good sense of quality as far as producing the best print possible, (attention to detail)
- Must be able to load and unload machine with consistent placement of garments.
- Ability to adjust machine settings as the machine is printing.
- Must have ability to judge when adhesive needs to be applied.
- Perform the process of running the machine in the most time efficient manner.
- Must be able to communicate to others assisting what needs to be done to get the machine up and running, and to keep it running.
- Must possess enough printing skills to be able to troubleshoot on a regular basis when situations arise.
- This person should have strong skills for attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
- Work with the Art department to ensure accuracy between the product specification and the equipment tolerances.
- Maintain the customer's artwork on the server
- Maintain all equipment as required through regular maintenance schedule.
- Understand and follow all of Company policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Gain proficiency in all tasks within production including shipping.
- Performs paperwork, system requirements (ex. Shopworks) and other duties as assigned.
- Conducts before and after product inspections
- Read and interprets work order instructions
