May 07, 2026 Jersey Ink Custom Apparel is hiring a Screen Printing & Heat Press Production Assistant to join our growing shop. We're a busy custom apparel printer running M&R Sportsman EX automatic presses (10/12 and 6/8 color), producing high-quality screen-printed garments for businesses, schools, teams, and brands. If you've got hands-on auto press experience (or a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn), we want to hear from you.
What you'll do:
Assist the press operator with setup, loading, unloading, and break-down on our M&R Sportsman EX 10/12 and 6/8 automatics
Catch, stack, and inspect printed garments for quality, and flag issues
Mix and match Pantone colors, prep screens, and help with reclaim
Operate the conveyor dryer and monitor cure temps
Run heat press jobs (names, numbers, transfers, vinyl) and other production support work as needed
Keep the production area clean, organized, and stocked
Help with order pulling, folding, counting, and packing finished goods
Support the team wherever an extra set of hands is needed
What we're looking for:
Prior screen printing or heat press experience preferred — bonus if you've worked on M&R automatics — but we'll train the right person
Reliable, on-time, and ready to work in a fast-paced production environment
Good attention to detail and pride in the finished product
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet during the shift
Team player with a positive attitude
