Does anyone have experience engraving a photo image onto a metal surface, such as anodized aluminum or the like? I’ve had a customer ask for this (a photo of their dog on a metal sheet) but my initial experiments haven’t turned out very good. LaserBits sells some materials which seem to be satisfactory and their catalog samples look OK. Anyone know how to do this or have a suggestion?
I’ve had good results with LaserBrite type painted brass. Ran image through Photograve first. I can process the image for you if you’d like.
