First I wanted to THANK everyone on this site for their great feedback on the laser engravers. I will say that after some further in-depth research I have switched from the Epilog to the Trotec laser Engraver. Just FYI here is why;
1. I got little or no response from Epilog directly - Trotec factory reps have been excellent with information, emails and phone calls. Trotec reps had excellent product knowledge and confidence in their product. They made no apology for it being higher priced - I like that. it say a lot about their market.
2. The two and three year warranty on Trotec is by far superior to the Epilog 1 year warranty 3. The rep with Trotec told me something about being able to adjust the hertz? I don’t understand it, but it sounded important and I can’t get the epilog people to respond about that.
The Trotec also comes standard with a stand and a couple of other things that are add-ons for the other lasers.
I’m happy you went with trotec as I said I’ve had mine for two years and and I would not trade my one for two of the other brands. The print driver is wonderful and makes placing your work very easy with no math skills. if you need stack your plate and run 7 to 8 jobs at one time It’s super easy on the trotec. Are you going to order the speedy two or their desk top unit?
We are looking at the speedy II. Where are you guys located, maybe we could do some interim outsourcing to you for a couple of months. We are not going to purchase our Laser until we relocate to our new building.
