I bought a used Toyota as-is from a person who got the machine as a form of payment I guess. He didn’t care at all about embroidery and just wanted some money for it so he can buy tools for his work. Anyways it wasn’t working properly so I got a very good deal. It turns out what my gut feeling about the problem of the machine was right on. The problem with the machine was just a timing issue and nothing routine maintenance could not fix. So I closed the deal. We were both happy. I just thought I’d share my experience and let others thinking of buying a used machine with very little budget like me to keep their eyes peeled. The person I bought it from is just 10 minutes walking distance from my place.
After the routine maintenance and setting the upper thread and bobbin case tension the machine ran like new. Today sure is my day <:-)
Congrats on the great find. I’m actually looking for a used single head Toyota so I’m a bit jealous.
