Brother PR-600 embroidery machine, PE-Design Software, and more!

By Sarah under Embroidery on Monday, April 24, 2006

I was helping a great friend find a single-head machine so she can start a business on the side when as luck would have it, I stumbled on an ad that seemed to be a nice deal for $7,900 USD:

I am selling this machine, all of my embroidery supplies and “blanks” as a complete package. I have been doing embroidered items as a side business for about a year, but since changing jobs I no longer have the time for it. My gain is your gain! This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has ever wanted to start their own business with only a minimal investment!

It’s great that the person is selling NOT because she went ‘out of business’ like some other ads I saw. I always feel sorry for those people, maybe because it could be me someday *knock on wood a crosses fingers*.

This package includes all of the following:

  • Brother PR-600 commercial/home embroidery machine, used only 154 hours (VERY low “mileage”). I recently had it checked out and tensions re-set by an authorized Brother dealer. It is in perfect working condition.
  • Rolling stand made specifically for this machine.
  • Wooden thread holder and 141 spools of embroidery thread, including 17 spools of metallic, 11 spools of variegated, and 1 spool of glow-in-the-dark thread.
  • 11 rolls of stabilizer (various types and weights), plus 30 sheets of 14″ X 20″ cutaway.
  • 7 hoops including:
    • two 12″ X 8″
    • two 7″ X 5″
    • one 4″ X 4″
    • two 2.4″ X 1.6″
  • 33 packages various size needles (320 total needles), 16 pre-wound bobbins and an accessory kit.
  • Instruction manual for the machine, plus 3 embroidery basics books. Also, the 2006 Dakota Collectibles catalog and CD-ROM.
  • Over 200 blank items for embroidery, including:
    • 46 dog collars (blue and black)
    • 18 t-shirts (14 sand-washed & 4 regular, various colors)
    • 62 caps (48 denim, 5 black, 5 gray, 4 black & gray)
    • 11 fleece throws
    • 9 long-sleeve denim shirts (7 oz. denim, sizes S to XL)
    • 11 canvas tote bags
    • 100 (approx.) chef aprons - white

***Bonus # 1 — I am also including the cap frame and driver with mounting jig! This enables you to embroider on caps and was optional equipment. Retails for $999.95.

***Bonus # 2 — PE Design software package (version 5.0) which includes the CD-ROM, USB card writer module, original card and instruction manual. Also, 2 books with more in-depth instructions and tips. This software allows you to design and stitch out your own embroidery designs and has a large collection of fonts. It also allows you to re-size and edit stock designs. Retails for $899.95.

***Bonus # 3 — A special “surprise” bonus if you use the “Buy it now” feature! This bonus is guaranteed to be worth over $1,000.00. (Believe me, you WON”T be disappointed!)

If puchased individually, all of these items would cost over $12,000.00. However, you can get this package deal for far less and have everything you need to start your own embroidery business! Only serious bidders please. Please beware of scam auctions for these machines; my feedback speaks for itself.

That’s a whole lot of stuff I tell ya what!!! I wonder what the 2006 Dakota Collectibles package is. Of course it’s stock embroidery designs, but which package could it possibly be? I know it can’t be Dakota’s flagship product ‘cuz that retails at $5,000.00. Must be one of the smaller collections. The PE-Design is great! The only problem with that software is it’s version 5.0 and the latest version out now is 6 I believe. Wonder how much it would cost to upgrade. OH I just LOVE the “special ’surprise’ bonus” that’s worth over $1K! What the heck could that be? Okay, so everything seems fine until I read:

*Due to the size and weight of these items I regret that I cannot ship them. They can either be picked up locally (Dallas/Ft.Worth area) or I can deliver them anywhere in the DFW metroplex. This sale is cash only. (’Cuz cash don’t bounce!)

After all that reading, I felt my stomach turn a bit when I read the last part :x We’re no where near the seller’s location!!!

Everything was ssooo perfect, and then all of a sudden everything comes crashing down. Too bad Jesse, I guess our hunt continues…
