I received a couple of emails recently asking for instructions on how to place ads:
“I’m trying to sell my babylock embroidery machine and would like to post at your site. pls advise how to post.”
“I have a 2001 Amaya plus All the goodies to list. New to this site. HELP!”
“I would like to post an advertisement for a used embroidery machine on your web site. How do I go about doing so? What is the cost? the procedure?”
When you get an email asking about how to do something, this means many others are thinking the same, but they’re just too shy or don’t have the time to ask. With that said, I should create a straightforward, simple guide for placing ads in the classifieds section of the forums. Something like:
Posting your equipment for sale is very easy, and completely free.
- If you have not already registered, please register free at http://www.digitsmith.com/register.php
- Go to the appropriate category where you want you ad posted. For example, if you to post your embroidery machine for sale visit the category “Used Embroidery Machines” at http://www.digitsmith.com/f5.html (if you are not logged in, enter your user name and password to log in).
- Click on the “New” button on the left side of the screen.
- Enter the ad title and ad description/message for your embroidery machine. To add photos to your ad (recommended), click on the “Manage Attachments” button below.
- Click “Submit New Thread” and you’re done.
I think that’s pretty simple and easy to follow. Maybe I’ll even post screenshots with the step-by-step instructions.
