Brother 8200 Embroidery Machine?

Hello group,
I'm new to this forum and to embroidery. I'm personally not involved in this work, but I hoped to ask this forum for some help setting up an embroidery machine. I apologize if I ask something that has already been discussed in other threads, or if what I'm going to ask is something completely obvious to this community. I've tried to do some research but keep running into dead-ends.

A family member of mine purchased a Brother 8200 Embroidery Machine, I'll say, a long time ago. It came with Palette E-Line Creative System Vers. 1.1. They were never able to set up this machine. Computer problems, other technical problems? The computer was never able to read/ load the software. I really don't know all of the details. The Palette software is on a floppy disk. They no longer have a computer with a floppy drive. Is there an updated, modern software program available to use the Brother 8200 machine? What are my options, please?

My family has been so frustrated and upset that they haven't been able to get this machine working, and I'd really love to help set up this machine. They have no interest in a newer machine.
