Re: Embroidery Publications
For books I am going to recommend some Old School ones... probably super cheap on Amazon. I think it important to know where the industry has been to be relevant in the future. (but I am a bit crazy)
"The Art of Embroidery In the 90's" by Coleman Schneider
"The Embroidery Stitch Bible" by Betty Barnden
"Painting with a Needle" by Young Yang Chung
Will they teach you how to digitize or sew today... up to you. But my way of thinking is these three books will show the possibilities! Trying to get the modern digitizing software to replicate is the fun part.
EXAMPLE: Trapunto.... hand embroiderers have used this technique of stuffing areas to make them Puff up for centuries..... And now machine embroiderers call it 3D Puff embroidery... but this mimic has not been around more than 20 years I would say!
