Epson 4880 problem printing black

My epson 4880 recently started printing a lighter black than normal on film. It's so light that it won't burn well. I tried cleaning the heads and switching film manufactures with no luck.

Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue with my Epson 1400 I have to double up on my positives to get a good burn! If I fond anything out i'll let ya know...

Haven't figured it out yet....tried everything from power cleaning to change all density settings to windex. I'll keep you informed.
