Default How do you ship machines?

Im getting ready to list a single head machine but would love to offer to ship it. Who does one call? I prefer a company to pack it themselves, so they do that? I am in Virginia, if that helps.

Thanks
Amy

Smile Re: How do you ship machines?

Hi, Amy
A single head machine is not hard to ship it will need small wood crate or at least be on a pallet and wrapped very well. Different shippers require different packaging and will need a lift gate on the truck Ups and FX both offer this. Check online in your area for a rigging or equipment moving companies give them the deminsions and weight for a quote and list that with the ad so the interested buyers have an idea of the cost involved. You should be able to sell it pick up only too. Then they can use a pick uop / van truck or flat bed towing company . But Iv'e shipped many large pieces of both embroidery machines and screen printing presses with no issues.
Good Luck , Eric

Craterts and freighters is the best option and also the cheapest, you can find them on the internet, I have worked with them and always they give me an excellent service, they pick up the machine in your home or office, crated and ship it anywhere you want to.

Thanks for the advice. Ill contact C&F monday. I also am waiting to hear back from the UPS store.

In case anyone locally is interested now.. its a INBRO IBC1201, with stand, hat driver set and 2 sets of each hoop.
The machine has been just sitting in my garage (heated and insulated) so its dusty. I will give it a good wipe down though.
I am in Virginia Beach, VA

Oh... I would like $4000.
