Default pricing

I am glad to see people starting to speak up, if you are truly wanting to sell your machines fast, remember these machines are like used cars they loose there value the minute they do one stitch. So don't shoot yourself in the foot by overpricing and then saying you will take best offer. I just got a call from a man that bought a machine for his son, 3 days later he is now wanting to sell it, I had to tell him he paid 900.00 to much for it and I could get a new model by the same company with more needles for what he paid for his.

Sellers and buyers should always do there homework.

Couldn't agree more.... Been searching for over a year for a machine. The market does seem to be manpolized by resalers that ask a lot more for used machines.

That right . Most of the sellers here asking too much for the use machines and said that will consider reasonable offer and don't low ball . Some of them asking the machine almost as double as the price on the market of the machine .

My favorite is seeing a post with no price and then it takes 2 weeks before they get back on here to give you some ridiculous price. Seems like the South East is very high for machines right now. Figures since I'm looking for one. Even the scammers are getting into the mix on Craigslist and ebay. I priced a babylock brand new from a dealer the other day for 6800 or so. I figure the real price should be around half that figure or why else take the chance. And the new machines have everything included plus higher features.

Craigslist is a good source but full of scamming. I would like to buy off here but being so far away from the machines, I worry about if they work or not then paying for something that I haven't seen scares me also, So I keep checking for things in Northern California but not many pop up. I will be in TX, CA and WY from August thru OCT so maybe then I will find something. I plan on going to The Embroidery Warehouse, while in Texas it will be a 3 hour drive but what is that seeing that I live in Costa Rica.

back in 2008, I drove 8 hrs from VA to OHIO to purchase an used Toyota 9000 for $7000 with everything originally came with it. Saw it running.
It was $15000 new in 2006.
I still dont know if i get a fair price on it, but I am enjoying learning to use it. I know nothing about embroidery machine and design back then.
