Hi,
I’m looking for suggestions on how to get help without going broke. I paid 300.00 dollars to a girl moving from Rhode Island to California in June for a husky star em10. I am not a well off person and this was my dream to be able to embroider items for my grandkids and family for Christmas. However, she demonstrated the machine worked to me and I happily went home with my machine. It took a couple of days before I had time to actually hook the machine up to my computer and when I tried to download the software discs that came with the machine, I found that there was no serial number anywhere. This girl is gone, left that weekend. So I emailed husqavana and I was told that in the user agreement, she should not have sold me the software as it can only be on one machine. She deleted all her software and gave me the discs, so it isn’t on any other machine, but now I have unusable software and machine, and trying to search for the 3d software and digitizing software has proved to be tough and when I do find it, it’s like a thousand dollars??? The machine didn’t even sell for 599.00 when it was on sale! Does anyone know how I can get this machine and software operational? I need help desperately. I only want to use this at home and now I have nothing. This doesn’t seem fair! If you have any suggestions or help please message me or answer this thread. God bless anyone that can help. Thanks ahead of time to all.

Okay, maybe I can help. Was the software inserted in a sleeve that reads 3D Embroidery Intro? If so, on the back of the sleeve, on the bottom, find Product License Code: this is the serial number, if not, I'm sharing mine with you because I had it installed in one cpu that crashed, and now windows 7 will not take it. It is H7IN26-00P4P2-37N. Hope this helps>

Sorry to hear about your problems and I know what you are going through. A friend bought one last year on ebay. she has tried unsuccessfully to get the machine registered in her name. the software is not operating right and she can NOT get any assistance. The error she recieves when trying to "send to machine" is that the memory is full and in need of defraging. No way can be found to defrag. sheesh. I had always thought about the "husky" as being a reputable bunch of folks but not any more. I will never recommend their company to anyone. I will be working on this, so if I find out anything, I'll let you know.

I just figured this out a way to get rid of the " Out of internal memory message run de-fragment command " on the EM10 . It took me several days to figure it out. Every thing you send to the machine is saved in the internal memory. If you click on the little sewing machine icon thats on the task bar, or next to the clock on windows XP, you will see the 3D intro navigator. or you can find the file can open it too. Then you should see a 1 inch by 1 inch box that is probably grey and says No Design at the bottom of it. Click on it then you will see everything that was send to the machine. click clear memory and that should take care of everything. I wish the owners manual was more clear on this error message. hope this helps.

Look at th 3D Embroidery Intro cd you received, on the back of the cardboard sleeve at the very bottom should say 'Product License Code:" underneath that in light grey is the code you need to enter.

WHO CAN HELP ME???? My 3d embroidery Intro Navigator doesn't work on Vista and XP. So I can't make empty my Huskystar EM10. I tried everything, but the problem is still being there. Is there anybody who can help me???
Re: bought used huskystar em10 and there is no serial number for
I had this problem but found it was the machine which had locked up - make sure your EM10 digital display is showing some sort of message - either 'bob' or a number should be visible. If not, try rebooting (switch the machine on and off a few times) the machine - it worked for me and the software is now running on my Vista laptop in compatibility mode. (Set compatibility mode by right clicking on the shortcut icon and selecting properties from the list - there is a tab at the top of the properties window that says 'compatibility')
