Default Brown?

I know big shops don't run them but they always intrigued me, not to mention the Harpolds are awesome people. They are on my top 3 brands to look at when upgrading. I like the idea of a quiet shop and not needing air lines, chiller, water contamination etc etc. What I don't like is the lack of quick release squeegees and floodbars and the lack of pneumatic screen clamps. Other than that I don't see much else that would be a downfall. They have their own reg systems with lasers, not sure how it works and software that allows you to program kinda like the revolver program of MnR.

lasers aren't for the reg system, that's for garment loading (I think).

Yes, really, the M&R patent does not cover presets or preprogrammed machine functions, it only addresses user entered data stored, if the software is fixed in the press then M&R can pound salt

Brown are great people, we almost bought a Brown when we ended up going with a larger manual. But great people, easy to work with, kind, and nothing shady about them.

If you are stuck with wanting electric I would say go for it.

But I do think you'd be happier in several other presses if your budget fit it.

The Brown ElectraPrint is at the top of my list when I upgrade. I have done the research and for what I need Brown is the perfect choice. Steve is a great guy and even stopped by my shop in NC when he was coming through. There is another local printer that has one and his work is great.
