With all due respect, i try to provide two free designs because quality can be tested without paying. The review which you see for one time posters are from few of the members which taken free samples but are originals like one time posters rmgeist and (Cindy Becton, Cheerful Embroidery). I will avoid one time posters review in future and while sending them design, request them not to post reviews until they post signatures of company or anything which shows they are original users.

Finally!!! haha.... I was beginning to think everyone on this forum is no naive.
His posts also got removed from tshirt forum by rodney for creating false identities and marketing himself pretending to be customers.
But seems like he is doing a good job of it because many people here are trying him out it seems. Why not if he is offering free designs...lol

Re: Outsource Embroidery Digitizing Reviews
By Steve offering 2 free designs up front, he is exactly right about testing quality. If you do a high quality job for free, the customer will expect the same quality from then on. If it's not, they'll go elsewhere, its that simple.
If you charge for your first one or two designs, and that's fine too as I'm the customer and I'll make the decision to go with you or not, and it's good, I'll continue. But if it's crappy, then I won't, and I'll either hound you till it's the way I want it, or ask for a refund. If no refund, and that happens some times, then you'll have every right to slam that person on forums like this and have the evidence to back it up. They'll either fix it, or get hammered on your opinon of their services.
For reviews,,,,I've used steve many times with no problems and am very pleased. I've used Brent, and will use him again as well, and he is great. Shawn too, that I just recommended. I've also used Qdigitizing.com as well,,,,very good, but they're getting a little big for their britches now as far as pricing goes.
A great thread,,,keep it up.

Re: Outsource Embroidery Digitizing Reviews
I don't get the free thing. I mean I do but I don't.
I think I will try that at Ruth Chris's tonight. I'd like a fillet... for free. How do I know it's any good? I mean, if it IS good then I'll come back another time and pay for it, but my first time should be free.
Anytime you try a new dish at a restaurant or a new restaurant period you PAY for it... you don't KNOW it's gonna be good or not, but you still have to pay for it. Granted if it's ATROCIOUS then you can likely complain and get the meal comped. But that is the exception not the rule.

Re: Outsource Embroidery Digitizing Reviews
I feel more comfortable dealing with people that are confident enough with their work to charge for it first time. It reminds me of how some organizations deal with bids, they will always chuck the lowest because they are astute enough to realize they are so low for a reason.

Re: Outsource Embroidery Digitizing Reviews
It is a goodwill offering in an attempt to gain your business. MAJOR companies do it regularly, "Try us free for 30 days"?
Not an uncommon practice in many fields and it seems not uncommon with digitizers either. Tons of digitizers do it.
I have a hard time doing this because I am generally selling goods that cost me money.

Re: Outsource Embroidery Digitizing Reviews
Depends on the nature of your business. Digitizing is one of those that lends itself to that type of deal more easily than others, like yard mowing and computer repair!
And,,,,in this forum, there's tons of folks doing the same job, so it's a buyers market out there.
If YOU come to ME and want ME to pay YOU for something like digitizing,,,,then YOU must convince ME you're worth the time and money,,,,if not,,,,I'll go elsewhere.
The old days are gone, the new is upon us. This is the way of the business now,,,if you want me to try you, what do you have to offer me.

Re: Outsource Embroidery Digitizing Reviews
I get a lot of spam offering first free design.
Obviously I have not subscribed to them but they still manage to get the emails off the internet.
Even after several requests of removing my email from their database I still get their spam emails.
So now I have decided to get them to do as many free designs as I can get out of them and then finally warn them if they send their spam again I will continue to request free designs.
No, these designs are not orders from our customers. They are basically complex breast logos which we hold.
I believe if you wish to send out emails, then you should be prepared to remove the emails when requested. If not, its wasting my time and that is money to me.
