Description
Phelps is seeking an energized and motivated MANAGER who will oversee the production of our Screen Printing department utilizing state of the art automatic and manual printing techniques.

Specific Job Duties and Expectations
o Process
o Develop and document quality processes in screen print production and SOP’s to support the process.
o Create an operations manual to organize appropriate SOP’s, checklists, and process outlines.
o Continuously review to improve process in order find inefficiency and poor quality and modify accordingly to gain efficiency and quality.
o Production
o Work with sales team and Division Manager to create a production schedule to provide sales team accurate lead times for quoting.
o Manage floor production schedule and ensure delivery times are being met or exceeded and properly communicated to sales.
o Help develop and maintain a cost matrix in order to provide sales accurate cost of goods estimates for quoting and gross profit calculation.
o Personnel
o Find qualified employees and interview as production demands.
o Determine and assign specific job duties and process ownership.
o Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
o Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
o Ensure employees are motivated and driving forward.
o Resolve department employee complaints, performance issues.
o Quality
o Create and maintain safety and sanitation regulations.
o Create and monitor quality standards for performance and product.
o Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Qualifications
• Management/supervisory work experience.
• 3-5 years minimum Screen printing experience.
• Familiar with current screen prep, exposure and reclamation techniques
• Plastisol, Water Based and Discharge printing experience a must
• Automatic press operation experience is a definite plus

o Reports to: Apparel Division Manager, Scott Carpenter
o Direct Reports: Screen Print Production Employees

Compensation based on experience, Bonus program, health and dental, 401k, and vacation.
