Surprised? The whole idea of an auction is to get the perspective buyers into a feeding frenzy to inflate the price. People go nuts, as the price goes up others think the highest bidder knows something so they add to the bid and so on and so on .So lets drag it out and give people time to stir a little so the price continues to go up.

So who believes that all the screen printing equipment went from almost no bids on any of it 3 days ago to all but a few having bids well over the minimum? I guess it could happen...but I'd bet the other way if I were a betting man.

Are there laws against artificial/phony bids at auctions and web-based auctions? I'm sure there are but I don't practice that type of law.

I seriously doubt someone is going to let that Adelco 72" dryer go for 10K when they were asking 3 times that on this site.

I told the guy who has the high end manual shop on there that Barnes owns the site. He said he was going to have them take it off. It's still on there.

Shill bidding is illegal.

Some of the items on there are currently set to sell so low I cannot for one second believe the seller is going to go for it no way.

Yes they have reserves but some reserves actually all of them are ridiculously low as a seller you cannot consider selling that low, that leads me to believe Barnes and gang promised to do what ever it takes to jack the pricing up or even worse use a shill bid and win but not actually sell the items. I would be curious to see if any of the items come back up for sale that would prove illegal activities.
