when buying a used machine
what are the most important things to ask.? Also has anyone used equip-used.com to purchase a machine?

ask for the serial number,, pictures ,, and what it comes with,,, and dont forget to ask if it works

Find out if it has ever been repaired and why. Find out the hour and/or stitch count. As mechanical machines they will at some point where parts out and need repair, refurbishing or replacement.

I just bought a 2005 Melco Amaya XT from Equipused. It was a great experience. They approved my lease, crated and shipped. It arrived in great shape and I had it up and running within a day. Do your research about the machine you are interested in. The salesperson new next to nothing about the actuall machine, sewing field, capabilities etc.
