Machine EmbroideryTES Embroidery Software From BarudanDoes anybody have this software and what do you think of it? I’m thinking of getting it along with Barudan Elite as a bundle to get a good discount. I am looking into adding custom embroidery. How many items (t-shirts/polo shirts) can a single-head commercial embroidery machine handle in a day. Yesterday I started to look for home embroidery machines in my town and saw the Bernina Artista 180E and the 200E. I’ve never embroidered knit caps before in my life! I know you can’t just embroider knit caps just as you would t-shirts or sweatshirts so I was wondering if you guys have some tips. So today I got a call from the high school and they wanted me to embroider their school letters on knit caps to sell for fundraisers. I came across the Master Embroidery Manual by the Embroidery Trade Association and I was wondering how people who bought the manual feel about the purchase. Spending more more than an hour or two is not worth it for something that costs a couple of dollars. It will save you hours and neck pain when trying to remove stitches from large tatami areas. My question is what do you guys think of the speed of low-end home machines? Do you think it can do over 50 t-shirts a day with falling to pieces? It turns out what my gut feeling about the problem of the machine was right on. The problem with the machine was just a timing issue and nothing routine maintenance could not fix. Has anybody used Melco Letera and how do you find the quality of embroidered letters? When I use the QuickStitch Fill on my vector clipart, I get the error as shown: “Unable to find start point inside fill object. Re-edit”. I wanted to share with you some tips for embroidering on fleece, especially the heavy kind with thick nap. I like to use medium weight tear away stabilizer for a clean finish at the back. I got a last minute call from my customer to change green metallic thread to silver. The design is one color that will be embroidered on white sweatshirts. I recently read about polymesh stabilizers and how it’s supposed to deal with the issue of stabilizers showing through the fabric. I went to my local embroidery supplies store and purchased a small quantity of polymesh to see if what they claim is true. Anybody used Mon-Rex metallic threads before and what was your experience with it? I need to embroider 1 dozen fleece blankets by tomorrow and the embroidered fleece samples I did do not look desirable at all. What do you guys do for cataloging embroidery designs to show your clients? Right now I have embroidered samples to show them. Okay this may be a stupid question, but what size of prewound bobbins should I buy with Brother 8500? I’ve always used my machine to wound bobbins, however I’ve heard better embroidery quality is gained by using prewound bobbins. Finally I’m trying to do some digitizing with my PE Design software which I was so excited to purchase but I quickly lost interest when I first installed it, it looked scary and hard!!! For those that have experience with a home and commercial machine, is it wise for me to take the job? I know it’s difficult to embroider caps so I’m worried I’ll ruin more caps than I should. What about the embroidery quality between a home and commercial machine when embroidering hats/caps? I visited both a Brother and SWF dealership to talk to them about getting my first single head professional machine. Both their machines are great in my opinion, but I thought the SWF machine was a bit more louder than the Brother. I am now at the point where I would like to upgrade to an industrial machine (a 1 head). The reason I’m thinking of upgrading is because doing order of more than 20 items regularly is not very productive for me with my Viking. Any input from y’all would be great. I was talking with a good friend of mine who is also in the embroidery industry. She has a home and commercial machine. She informed me that I can use a home machine digitizing software as long as it outputs or saves the file in the Tajima format (DST). Just my two cents on 6 needles vs. 12 needles on industrial / commercial machines. Go with the 12-needle machine!! I traded my 6-needle Tajima for a 12-needle 1 month ago. I can’t tell you how much of difference it makes in terms of productivity and convenience. So now that I’ve started a home business with my single head and just received my first order of 5 dozen t-shirts. What is your spoilage rate; is 5% normal and do you guys add your spoilage percentage to the total quantity of the order? And, what do you guys do with the spoiled stuff? Firstly, always read the license agreement on buying any design, especially popular designs! Anyways, no you can’t sell all embroidered designs. There are designs that can not be sold in their embroidered form. Then again, there are many that can be sold. So, my husband had this great idea that I want to share with you all. What he did was create a book to showcase all the beautiful work we’ve done in the past. I think this is a great idea!!! Now I show customers the book and I get lots of “ohs” and “awes”. I’m starting to shop around for my first reliable home embroidery machine and I was wondering what you guys think is the best home machine to buy? What are the best ones or best brands? Solar Active threads basically look dull indoors, but when they are exposed to sunlight outdoors they become very colorful, wonderful and lively like magic! I’m in the process of buying an embroidery machine and wondering what people think of the Bernina 170E. I’ve been trying to decide which embroidery software is best for converting the many free embroidery designs that I download and collect. I have never embroidered velvet before and am a little nervous - because it’s an expensive piece for a wedding! I embroidered vertical bars all different colors and all rayon threads on a white cloth and then laundered it several times. Hello, why is it that for some reason I can not open and view embroidery designs on my computer after I’ve downloaded them? I can see them perfectly fine on websites though, but not on my computer? Right now I’m only concentrating on digitizing lettering. The manual for my digitizing software does illustrate how to tie off stitches, but it doesn’t mention when to do it. I just had a quick browse at the Wilcom website looking for digitizing software. I checked there first because a lot people recommend Wilcom for digitizing solution. How come the same SWF embroidery machine in the east coast is different than the price in the west? I’m not just talking about a couple of dollars here. I think my machine accepts the SHV format and the designs I downloaded are PES format. What do i do to make my machine accept PES? Just wondering whether SWF embroidery machines have a similar feature like my ZSK machine’s “design range”? If you’re looking for something to make ordinary embroidery designs more interesting try UV threads. They’re great! |
